Flora tableware depicts abstracted flower forms as the name implies. Seen along a sunny Mediterranean hiking trail, a pod forming plant was the inspiration for this design. All pieces are porcelain and made on a potter’s wheel. Rims are unglazed and decorated with black porcelain images. The addition of soda ash on the rims creates the rich orange to green variations in color. A shiny medium green celadon glaze covers the eating surfaces of each piece. Dishwasher safe.

Kate’s dinnerware brings us tremendous pleasure every day. Rather than just saving it for special occasions or keeping it on display, every meal or cup of tea is a reminder of the beauty in our lives. The pieces are not only beautiful, but also functional. Kate takes great care to create hand-crafted pieces that match well in size and proportion, while also meeting the needs of the user. For instance, she checks the handles of her mugs to ensure comfort and fit with the user’s own hand. In addition to its elegance and artistry, Kate’s dinnerware is strong and resilient, and stands up well to daily encounters with the dishwasher.
